Subaru Leaves Industrial Business To Focus On Cars

On September 30, Subaru Corporation officially ended production of its industrial products after more than 60 years in order to put more resources into its core automotive brand.

“By concentrating management resources on Subaru’s core automotive business, the company will further reinforce its business structure in the aim of substantially enhancing the Subaru brand and achieving even greater sustainable growth,” the company said in a statement.

While the official announcement that they were no longer building non-automotive products was made earlier this week, Subaru did say that aftersales support will continue for the heavy industries division.
