Driving Three JDM Legends Back-To-Back

Throughout the 90’s and into the early 2000s, Japanese auto manufacturers built some ferocious sports cars. Many of which were leagues ahead of their American and European competitors in speed and handling.

Of all the JDM legends born in that era, the Honda NSX, the FD Mazda RX-7, and the A80 Toyota Supra are arguably the most iconic, and sought after Japanese sports cars. This lucky YouTuber, going by the name of Zygrene, got the opportunity to pilot all three. “If you told me when I was 15 that I’d one day get to drive a Mazda RX7, Honda NSX, and Toyota Supra… I would have said you’re lying…”

Despite their shared Japanese origins and similar age, these 3 cars couldn’t be more different: The Supra, known best for its straight line capabilities, and powered by any tuners wet dream; the 2JZ-GTE. The RX-7, a far more agile, lighter-weight car powered by a high revving rotary, that tears up turns and loves getting sideways. And the NSX, certainly the most exotic of the three, originally engineered to rival the v8 powered Ferraris of the time, which it did oh so well, and at a fraction of the price. One thing they all have in common, we want them! If money was out of the question, which car would you choose?
